Magnetic Hill
Hello Welcome to the Gyan Ki Pathshala and Today we are going to tell the complete information about visiting the mysterious place Magnetic Hill of india
Ladakh:- The pride of India and the dream of tourists from all over the world, boasts of immense beauty in its zenith, where on the one hand the snowy peaks, mesmerizing lakes tempt the onlookers, while on the other hand the barren and sandy land surprises, due to being sandy. Because Ladakh is also called “Desert in the Sky”.
Magnetic hill:- About 30 km from Leh city on the Leh-Kargil highway, there is a small part called Magnetic Hill. There is a belief about this hill that where a car falls down from any other hill, there is something in this hill that pulls the car up. For this reason this place attracts a lot of people. People come here just to see this quality. This mountain is called Mystery Hill because it is the part that attracts vehicles to the top. It is said that if a car is left here with the engine running, it can easily roll at 20 km per hour. This is the reason why people call it by names like Mystery Hill and Gravity Hill. Many scientists have tried to solve this mystery at their own level. Some people consider it as gravitational power and some illusion, so let us know what scientists and pilots have to say about this? According to the pilot, he experiences tremors while passing over the magnetic hill, so as soon as the pilot passes over the hill, he increases the speed of the aircraft so that the magnetic power of the hill can be avoided. Scientists say that this hill has a very powerful and impressive magnetic force which is spread over a very large area. At the same time, some people say that it is only a trick of the eyes that we see the slope, that path is actually going upwards and the direction of the Magnetic Hill is downwards, while we see the reverse. We live in a strange world where sometimes there is no logical explanation for beliefs and superstitions. People say that the hill has superpowers which transports the worthy to heaven. However, there is not one but two plausible scientific explanations behind this majestic magnetic hill. The first theory states that it is an optical illusion caused by the descending magnetic hill and rising terrain. The alignment of the road and the absence of a visible horizon make the downward slope to appear like an uphill one. The second theory states that the hill is a strong magnetic force that pulls vehicles parked within its range.

History of Mani MAHESH Temple/LAKE
Hello Welcome to the gyan ki pathshala and today we discussed about the history and amazing facts about shri MANI MAHESH temple/LAKE
Manimahesh Kailash Yatra of Himachal Pradesh is a pilgrimage to reach Manimaheshlake in Bharmour area of Chamba district. At least half a million Hindu pilgrims take part in this holy journey that begins on Janmashtami and ends on Radhashtami every year. The journey is done in three days and a distance of 13 kms is covered by trekking. Lord Bhole appears in the form of Mani in Manimahesh, situated at a distance of about 85 kilometers from Chamba city of Himachal Pradesh. That is why it is called Manimahesh. Surrounded by Dhauladhar, Pangi and Zanskar mountain ranges, this Kailash mountain is known as Manimahesh-Kailash. For thousands of years, devotees have been coming on this exciting journey. Chamba is also known as Shivbhoomi. It is believed that Lord Shiva resides in these mountains. There are different views as to when the Manimahesh Yatra started, but it is said to be the place where Lord Shiva appeared to his devotees many times. The presence of a natural lake at an altitude of 13,500 feet is a proof of some divine power. Let’s know some interesting facts about Manimahesh Yatra. It is the glory of Lord Shiva that on the day of Ashtami, the water of the lake starts rising even before the bath. Scientists have also failed to find out why this happens. After Ashtami, the water of this lake decreases again. From where suddenly so much water comes in the lake, this mystery remains intact. Lord Shiva did penance on the banks of Manimahesh Lake.
Before The yatra- Bharmani Devi Temple
The Manimahesh Kailashyatra is believed to be incomplete without paying a visit to the Bharmani Devi temple. The temple is located at a distance of 4 kms from Bharmour. It is necessary to take a dip in the pool before starting this yatra else their yatra is deemed to be incomplete.
Adventure with faith
According to Hindu scriptures, Mount Kailash surrounded by Dhauladhar, Pangi and Zanskar ranges of the Himalayas is famous as Manimahesh-Kailash. From Sri Krishna Janmashtami (Bhadrapada Krishna Ashtami) to Sri Radhashtami (Bhadrapada Shukla Ashtami), lakhs of devotees arrive here to visit Mount Kailash after taking a dip in the holy Manimahesh Lake. The way to reach Manimahesh Lake through mountains, ravines and drains is full of adventure. Manimahesh Yatra is considered equivalent to Amarnath Yatra. Those who are unable to go to Amarnath reach Manimahesh Lake for a holy dip. Now it has become even easier to reach Manimahesh Lake. There is a helicopter service from Bharmour to Gaurikund during the yatra and for those who are fond of trekking there are tents to stay around Hadsar, Dhancho, Sundarasi, Gaurikund and Manimahesh.
It is believed that Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati used to play in this ground, hence this ground is called “Shiva’s Chaugan”. Devotees who come here during the Manimahesh Yatra, after taking a bath in the holy lake and worshiping the four-faced idol of Lord Shiva made of marble stone near the lake, circumambulate the holy lake three times. According to the local residents, Manimahesh Kailash mountain protects them from any kind of calamity, due to this religious belief, the local people worship this huge mountain. There should not be any kind of inconvenience to the devotees coming on the Manimahesh Yatra, so before the start of the Manimahesh Yatra, the local residents (people living around Manimahesh Lake are called Gaddis) climb the mountains with their sheep. And cleans the way leading to Manimahesh lake. Before Manimahesh Lake, two kunds also come which are known as Kamal Kund and Gauri Kund. A visit to Manimahesh Lake is considered incomplete without visiting the Bramhani Devi Temple, located at a distance of 04 km from Bharmour. It is believed that Manimahesh Yatra is not complete without taking bath in Bramhani Devi Kund.
How to reach Manimahesh Lake
There are various routes for pilgrims and trekkers to reach Manimahesh Lake. Pilgrims coming from Lahaul and Spiti reach Manimahesh via Kugti pass. Some travelers who come from Kangra and Mandi reach Manimahesh via Kavarsi or Jalsu pass. You can easily reach Manimahesh via Chamba and Bharmour.
All the passengers going via Bharmour can go till Hadsar by bus. After Hadsar, pilgrims and trekkers have to complete the journey to Manimahesh on foot. On the way from Hadsar to Manimahesh, there is a place named Dhancho, at this place almost all the travelers take rest during the night. If you have brought extra time during Manimahesh Yatra, then you can also go to see a beautiful waterfall located near Dhancho.
There are also two religious water bodies named Gauri Kund and Shiv Krotri, one kilometer before Manimahesh Lake. According to the mythological belief associated with these two reservoirs, Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati had taken bath in these two reservoirs alternately. Female pilgrims traveling to Manimahesh first take bath in Gauri Kund and male pilgrims start their journey by taking bath in Shiv Krotri reservoir.
You can also reach Manimahesh Lake by trekking, the first way goes through Hadsar and Dhancho and the second way goes through Holi village. Most of the travelers and devotees prefer to go through the first route because the first route is considered the easiest way to reach Manimahesh, on this way all kinds of facilities are available for the travelers and devotees.
The second route is preferred by most of the trekkers and adventure seekers. No facilities of any kind are available till Manimahesh is reached by the other route. When you reach Manimahesh from the other way, you can see very beautiful views of Manimahesh lake from the height.
view of sapphire
Himachal government has called this mountain as Turquoise Mountain i.e. Vaiduryamani or Neelmani. When the sun rises behind Mount Kailash in Manimahesh, the whole sky is covered with blue and the rays come out in blue. It is believed that Mount Kailash has the properties of sapphire, which collides with the rays of the sun to turn blue.
Facts on Manimahesh Kailash Peak
It is also believed that no one has climbed Manimahesh Kailash peak so far. For decades, a Gaddi tried to climb with a group of sheep, but he failed and turned to stones along with the group of sheep.
Many people say that a snake also tried to climb the mountain but it too turned into a stone.
Lord Shiva wanted that only he could see the peak.
Hiking to the Manimahesh Kailash peak has so far been a result of previous unsuccessful attempts. It is estimated that with the navigation of the N ridge and E wing up to the Nanoni valley and down to Kugti village, it may be possible to go up and down the peak within 3 days. The condition of the peak at the height of the mountains is also bad.
Manimahesh Kailash Peak, which precipitously enters the lake formed in the lap of the mountain.
It is believed to symbolize that Lord Shiva is seated on the seat built on Manimahesh Kailash Shikhar and this natural light is of the gem worn around the neck of Sheshnag.
It is believed that till date no one has been able to measure the height of this mountain. It is not difficult to climb this Kailash peak but whoever went up there did not return.
Local people say that even though people have climbed Everest, it is not so easy to climb Manimahesh Kailash peak. It is said that once a Gaddi had climbed this mountain.
That throne had taken a vow that he would sacrifice a sheep or a goat on each step of the Manimahesh Kailash peak, but it turned into stone before reaching the peak. The sheep that were with him also turned to stone. Some of its similar stones are still lying here.

History of Jagannath Puri Temple
Hello Welcome to the Gyan ki Pathshala and today we discussed about the history and amazing facts about Shri Jagannath puri temple.
History of Jagannath Puri Temple:-
Complete Story of Bhagwan Jagannath। Who is Lord Jagannath। What is inside Lord Jagannath। Jagannath Story.
Sri Jagannath Temple, Puri is a Hindu temple, which is dedicated to Lord Jagannath. It is located in the coastal city of Puri in the state of Orissa in India. The meaning of the word Jagannath is ‘lord of the world’. His city is called Jagannath Puri or Puri. This temple is considered one of the Char Dham of Hindus.
According to Hinduism, the Char Dhams are Badrinath, Dwarka, Rameshwaram and Puri. It is believed that when Lord Vishnu settled on the Char Dham, he first went to Badrinath and took bath there, after that he went to Dwarka in Gujarat and changed clothes there. After Dwarka, he had food at Puri in Odisha and finally rested at Rameshwar in Tamil Nadu. There is a temple of Lord Shri Jagannath in Puri.
This is the temple of Vaishnava sect. Which is dedicated to Shri Krishna, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The annual Rath Yatra of this temple is famous. In this, the three main deities of the temple, Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Balabhadra and Bhagini Subhadra tro, walk in three different grand and chariots.
Jagannath Temple Architecture:-
The divine above of Lord Jagannath built out of the unique Kalinga style of architecture stands on a plinth of 214 feet in height. According to historians, the temple construction was initiated by King Anantvarman Chondgang Dev. Thus the Jagmohan was built in 1148. Later another ruler Anang Bhima completed the temple in 1997, what we see right now. Thus the adoration of the deities kept on until 1558 when it was attacked by the Afghans. The sacred idols were kept in an island of Chilka lake and the worship was stopped. While Ramchandra Deva established his independent empire again the idols were restored to the temple and worship was restarted. The temple complex is 650 feet squire and comprises 4 chambers- the deul, the Jaganmohan, Nata Mandir, and Bhogamandir. These chambers are surrounded by 6 meters high wall.
Story related to the establishment of the temple:-
The first evidence of this temple is first found in the Vanparva of Mahabharata. According to which, one day Lord Jagannath appeared in the dream of Indradyumna, the glorious king of Malwa. Lord Jagannath tells Indradyumna in the dream that “I have an idol in a cave in Nilanchal mountain, it is called Neelmadhav. Build a temple and install this idol of mine in it. The very next day the king sent his close Brahmin Vidyapati along with the soldiers to Nilanchal mountain. Vidyapati had heard that the people of Sabar clan worship Nilamadhav and they have hidden this idol of their deity in the cave of Nilanchal mountain. He also knew that the head of the Sabar clan, Vishwavasu is a worshiper of Nilamadhav, he has hidden the idol in the cave and he will not easily hand over the idol to the king. Clever Vidyapati marries the chief’s daughter. And finally he reaches the cave with the help of his wife and steals the idol and hands it over to King Indradyumna. When Vishwavasu comes to know that the idol of his deity has been stolen, he becomes very sad. Seeing his devotee sad, God also became sad and returned back to the cave in the form of an idol, but at the same time promised King Indradyumna that he would definitely return to him one day, provided he built a huge temple for him one day. After a few years, the king built a huge temple of Lord Jagannath and asked the Lord to sit in the temple. God said that you bring a big piece of tree floating in the sea to make my idol, which is coming to Puri by swimming in the sea from Dwarka. The king’s servants also found a piece of that tree, but all the people together could not lift that tree. Then the king understood that in this problem, the help of Vishvavasu, the head of the Sabar clan, who is an exclusive devotee of Neelmadhav, will have to be taken. Everyone was surprised when Vishvavasu alone lifted the heavy wood and brought it to the temple. After this, the turn came to make the idol of God out of wood. But even after lakhs of efforts of all the artisans of the city, no one could find a carver for the girl. After this Lord Vishwakarma appeared in the guise of an old artisan and came in front of the king and said that he can make the idol but he has a condition. No one should be near him while making the idol. The king also accepted this condition. After this, people kept hearing sounds of saws, chisels and hammers from the closed room. Meanwhile, King’s wife Gundicha also reached near the closed room but Gundicha could not hear any sound. Gundicha was apprehensive whether the artisan had died. The queen told this story to the king. No sound was heard from inside, so the king also felt the same. Bypassing all the conditions and warnings, the king ordered the door of the room to be opened. As soon as the door of the room was opened, no one was present there. From there, 3 incomplete idols were found, Lord Neelmadhav and his brother’s small hands were made, but not their legs, while Subhadra’s hands and feet were not made at all. The king understood that the old man would never come again. Following the will of God, the king installed these incomplete idols. Since then till today all the three brothers and sisters are sitting in the Jagannath temple in this form.
Amazing facts about Shri Jagannat Temple:-
1. Why Planes don’t fly over the temple?
Above the Jagannath Temple Puri is an eight metal chakra (round shape), known as Nilachakra. It is believed that this chakra obstructs the communication of flying airplanes and hence avoids flying over the temple. And if we talk scientifically or legally, then the whole of India does not come under air traffic, due to which, for obvious reasons, planes are not found flying over the temple.
2. The flag that defies wind direction:-
Whether it is a ship floating on water or a common cloth drying in the wind, the direction of blowing is the same where the wind is blowing. But the flag on top of this temple is completely opposite to this theory, because this flag waves in the opposite direction of the wind without any scientific logic.
3. Mystery of Sudarshan Chakra:-
Two secrets are present on the top of the temple in the form of Sudarshan Chakra. The first revolves around the theory that the wheel at the top is about 20 feet high and weighs a ton, how could it have been there in that century without any machinery with human power. The second is the architectural technique of the chakra, because from wherever you look at this chakra, you will see it from everywhere. It looks as if it has been designed to look the same from every direction.
4. The Food Is Never Futile Here:-
In Hindu mythology, wasting food is considered a bad sign, and the temple follows the same. The total number of people visiting the temple varies between 2,000 to 2, 00,000 people daily. Miraculously, the Prasad prepared daily never goes waste, not even a crumb.
5. Mute Water:-
The temple has four doors and the Simhadwaram is the main entrance to the temple. When you enter through this gate, you can clearly hear the sound of the waves, but when you take the first step inside the temple through the entrance of Singh Gate, you will not hear the noise of the ocean waves at all. When you come out of the temple, you will again hear the sound of the waves. It is believed that it was the wish of Subhadra Mai, the sister of the two lords, who wished for peace within the gates of the temple, which was duly fulfilled by the Lord.
6. Magical way of cooking Prasad:-
The traditional way of preparing Prasadam is being followed by the priests here since a long time. Exactly seven vessels are used as offering vessels stacked on each other and the offerings are cooked using firewood. Amazingly, the contents of the top most vessel get cooked first and then slowly the Prasad of the bottom vessel gets cooked.
Jagannath Rath Yatra in Hindi –
The biggest and main festival of Shree Jagannath Temple is the Rath Yatra organized on the Dwitiya of Ashadh Shuksha Paksha in the months of June and July. In this Rath Yatra, Lord Shri Jagannath along with his brother and sister goes to his maternal grandfather and returns to the temple on the ninth day. Lakhs of devotees come to Jagannathpuri during the Rath Yatra to participate in the Rath Yatra. In the Rath Yatra, the huge wooden chariots of Lord Shri Jagannath, his elder brother Balabhadra and younger sister Subhadra are pulled by the devotees. Apart from Rath Yatra, all the major festivals celebrated in Hinduism are celebrated with great pomp.
